MX records

An MX record tells the world which servers receive mail for your domain. Without one, your domain cannot receive email at all, which is why a Fail here is the most severe result the widget can show.

MX records exist but do not point at your declared provider. That is often legitimate, for example a mail gateway or a hybrid or migration setup. If you did not expect it, compare your records with your provider’s guidance.
